          B. Ilangaratne, was a Sri Lankan politician, author, dramatist, and theater actor. He was a Member of Parliament for Kandy, Galaha, Hewaheta and Kolonnawa in Colombo district.

          Ilangaratne was born on 27 February in Tumpane, Hataraliyadda,Waligodapola, Sri Lanka.

        1. While he was a trade union activist he studied law was called to the English in and practiced as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Ceylon.
