          Amber Rose Tamblyn was born on May 14, , in Santa Monica, California.

          Her father, Russ Tamblyn, was an actor, dancer, and singer. Her mother, Bonnie Murray, was a teacher, singer, and performer. Amber's extended family was also heavily involved in the arts. Her godfathers were actors Dean Stockwell and Dennis Hopper, while her grandfather, Eddie Tamblyn, was a vaudeville performer and her uncle, Larry Tamblyn, was a keyboardist for the s rock band The Standells.
